Call us at 647.350.6666 if you have any questions about these procedures.

My pet lives 100% indoors, do they still need to be spayed or neutered?

Absolutely! In a matter of moments with an open door or window, your pet can escape and mate with another. They can also come into contact with other pets at kennels, groomers or a friend’s house. All it takes is a couple of minutes when you or other humans are turned away. To prevent unwanted pregnancies and the complications that come with reproduction, we recommend all pets to be spayed or neutered.

Can adult dogs/cats still be spayed/neutered?

Yes. It is best to have these procedures done when your pets are still kittens or puppies. Be that as it may, they can be safely performed on fully grown pets. Our veterinarians and technicians will conduct tests to ensure your pet is a good candidate for surgery.

How should I care for my pet after their spay/neuter procedure?

Rest assured we will provide you will a full set of post-op care instructions after your pet’s spay or neuter. In general, we advise owners to check the incision daily for any abnormalities, restrict physical activity, give less food than usual, prevent pets from licking their wounds and make sure they take all their post-op medications.
